Warriors overcome Broncos in second half

Wigan Warriors 18-8 London Broncos

Defending champions Wigan Warriors continued their rise up the Betfred Super League table with a 18-8 victory over bottom-placed London Broncos.

After a tight opening 40 minutes, the Warriors scored 12 unanswered points in the second half to secure a third consecutive win.

Kieran Dixon put London ahead with a penalty and although Jake Shorrocks went over for Wigan following a smart dummy, Jay Pitts touched down Jordan Abdull's kick to give the visitors a 8-6 half-time lead.

But Wigan stormed back and Chris Hankinson crossed in the 49th minute following a Broncos error before Morgan Escare collected George Williams' kick to score and seal the win.
