All of the Round 17 Steve Prescott MBE Man of Steel points

A member of the panel will watch each Betfred Super League game in 2019 and award points to the three outstanding players: 3 points for their chosen stand-out performer, two points for the runner-up, and 1-point for their third ranked player. 

The scores will be made public every week, until Round 22 in mid-July. After that, the poll will be hidden until the Awards Ceremony in October.

Hull FC vs Salford (Albert Kelly)

Hull FC held off a Salford Red Devils fightback to cling onto a 35-32 victory, despite finishing the match with 11 men.

Albert Kelly was their star performer; he scored two tries, made two assists, nine tackle busts, three clean breaks and 103 metres. 

Castleford Tigers vs Huddersfield Giants (Lee Gaskell)

Castleford full-back Pete Mata’utia struck in the seventh minute of extra time to give Castleford Tigers a 27-26 victory over Huddersfield Giants.

However, it was Lee Gaskell who picked up three Man of Steel points after scoring a hat-trick, four tackle busts, six attacking kicks and 62 metres off six carries. 

Wakefield Trinity vs Leeds Rhinos (Harry Newman)

Leeds Thinos beat Wakefield Trinity 10-0 to register back-to-back Betfred Super League victories for the first time this season.

Leeds’ youngster scored three points, he made 155 metres, 16 tackle busts and three clean breaks. 

Warrington Wolves vs Catalans Dragons (Blake Austin)

Warrington Wolves beat Catalans Dragons 34-4 in their victory at the Halliwell Jones Stadium. 

Blake Austin scored a spectacular try, made seven tackle busts and 100 metres. 

Hull KR vs Wigan Warriors (Craig Hall) 

Wigan Warriors hooker Sam Powell kicked a huge late drop goal to deny Tony Smith a win in his first match since replacing Tim Sheens as Hull Kingston Rovers boss.

Hull KR’s Craig Hall picked up the three Man of Steel points, he assisted a try and made 135 metres.

London Broncos vs Wigan Warriors (Ryan Morgan)

Morgan Smith’s golden-point drop-goal saw London Broncos claim a shock 23-22 comeback victory over Betfred Super League leaders St Helens in a pulsating game in the capital.

It was Ryan Morgan who picked up three Man of Steel points, he scored two tries, made 23 tackles and two tackle busts.
