Top Five Props

Who have been the props in Super League this year?

5. Eddie Battye

Eddie Battye typified London Broncos' season, a hard-working team unit that caused upsets against the big boys. A flying start to the season for Battye saw him in the top ten Man of Steel places, before tailing off towards the end of the season. Battye made 851 tackles, 2504 metres, and scored three tries and assisted three - he didn't miss a game all season.

4. Jesse Sene-Lefao

Jesse Sene-Lefao end of season could be tainted by the red card he received against Wigan Warriors, but his side are still in the competition with an Eliminator Game to play against Salford Red Devils. He scored seven tries, made 2267 and made 478 tackles in 24 appearances.

3. Alex Walmsley

In a side that didn't lose a Super League home game all season, Walmsley, made a return to Super League from injury with a season that saw his powerful carries constantly break through the opposition line. Walmsley made 2728 metres, 90 tackle busts and 433 tackles in 22 appearances.

2. Liam Watts

One of the nominees for the Man of Steel award, Liam Watts has had a year to remember, he's also been called up to the Great Britain Lions squad. Watts has made more offloads than anybody else (62), he's made 937 tackles and 3160 metres.

1. Luke Thompson

Like Walmsley, Thompson's powerful running enabled his side to break through the opposition line, he made 2578 metres, 74 tackle busts and 586 tackles. He also scored seven tries and assisted two.
