Brough set for Trinity exit

Wakefield Trinity stalwart, Danny Brough will bring his second stint at the club to an end at the conclusion of the 2020 Betfred Super League season.

Brough will make the short trip up the M62 to join John Kear's Bradford Bulls in 2021 after signing a two-year deal.

Brough, a former Man of Steel winner in 2013 whilst at Huddersfield Giants, has played over 400 career games and currently sits second in the all-time Super League list of goal kickers (1,084) and points scorers (2,460)

Speaking to BradfordBulls.co.uk

Brough said: "I am really pleased to have signed, it is a challenge I am looking forward to and I see a club progressing from its darkest days to hopefully a brighter future.

"I am hoping I can try and bring a winning mentality and great attitude to the side and help when times get tough to knuckle down and get the boys over the line."

Bulls Head coach, John Kear said of the deal: "It is a key signing, it shows the true ambition of the club – our priority is to keep our essential players but when you have absolute quality coming available you have to pursue it, we did and we are delighted Danny has signed.

“We are operating on a tight budget but Danny has agreed to come because he likes the challenge ahead of him and because we have a great relationship."
