Lee Kershaw signs new Wakefield Trinity contract

Wakefield Trinity are pleased to announce that Lee Kershaw has signed a deal that will keep him in the Red, White & Blue for the 2021 season.

Kershaw’s contract was set to expire at the end of the current season, but the 21-year old has agreed terms to remain at the Mobile Rocket Stadium.

The hard-running winger burst onto the scene last easter with a Man of the Match performance and try against Leeds on his debut and has proved to be a reliable member of Chris Chester’s squad over the last few seasons.

Kershaw, who is sponsored by Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation, is pleased to have his future secured and is looking forward to staking a claim for a wing berth.

“I’m happy it’s all sorted now and I can just get back to focusing on my rugby,?? said Kershaw.

“It’s been a goal of mine for a while now (to nail down a regular spot) and hopefully, with a bit more experience behind me, it’s time to do so.??

Head Coach Chris Chester commented: “I’m delighted that Kersh has agreed the deal.

“It’s a deal that club, player and manager are happy with. It’s all about being patient without rushing into things and we got there in the end.

“Kersh is a player that works extremely hard and I’m looking forward to seeing him kick on in the Trinity colours.??
