Covid-19 testing update: November 11

Results from this week’s testing for Covid-19 have now been received from the nine Betfred Super League clubs who have continued with testing, plus match officials and other relevant staff.

Of the 393 tests taken so far during the week starting November 9, there have been 389 negative results and one positive. Three results remain outstanding which are expected to be received later today. These do not involve any of the four clubs playing in this week’s Elimination Play-Offs.

Castleford Tigers and Hull Kingston Rovers, both of whom have been working with the RFL’s Multiple Cases Group, are no longer subject to the Multiple Cases Framework after receiving full sets of negative results in the last week.

They will now step away from regular testing for the off-season, as will Huddersfield Giants, who had been on stand-by for the Elimination Play-Offs this week after finishing seventh in the Betfred Super League table, but were informed last night that the matches will go ahead as scheduled.

The full results for the week starting November 2, updated since last Thursday’s summary, were 14 positives, spread across six clubs, from 636 tests.
