Get yourself to the Dacia Magic Weekend Fanzone

This year the Dacia Magic Weekend Fan Zone will be taking over Strawberry Place, right next to St James’ Park stadium. Whether you’re looking to entertain the kids, or rediscover the child within you, we have plenty of great games available, courtesy of our partners. We also have a wide range of food and drink stands,  keeping you refuelled for jam-packed weekend.

OPENING TIMES

Saturday – 13:00pm – 7:30pm

Sunday – 12:00pm – 5:30pm

WHAT’S ON?

The Fan Zone will be alive with buzz and excitement from activities with all of our partners, giving fans the opportunity to fully involve themselves in the carnival atmosphere of the event.

·       Not only will Dacia be showcasing its new range of award-winning cars but you’ll also be able to test your skills in the ‘catch-me quick’ game, pick-up some rugby merch, and speak to their brand gurus about the cars on display.

·       Roll-up to Northern’s ‘Go Do Your Thing’ Coconut Shy and enter their competition at the stall for a chance to win some exclusive Super League prizes.

·       Take a spin on a range of inflatable fairground rides and activities throughout Strawberry place in between games.

Show your colours over the weekend by visiting the official Dacia Magic Weekend merchandise retail store and OddBalls in the Fan Zone. In partnership with Rugby League Cares, OddBalls will be selling their fantastic range of bold underwear, raising awareness and money for cancer charities.

Head to the stage to catch DJ Kenny D hosting the Magic party. Kenny has performed in front of thousands of people across the North East, hosting events and concerts with the likes of Little Mix, Olly Murs, James Arthur and Blue. You can look forward to an eclectic and up lifting set, bringing the fun and lots of prizes to be won thrown in as well.

Looking for your next photo opportunity? Keep an eye out for the Betfred Super League trophy and the Rugby League World Cup trophy. Members of the military will be touring the grounds with both trophies, so make sure you snap a shot with some silverware.

IN BOWL ENTERTAINMENT

Keeping the party going inside the stadium is DJ Matt Bailey, who is no stranger to North East events. Matt hosts the Thursday Night Show on BBC Newcastle, Tees & Cumbria, as well as a residency at Stack Newcastle. As a master of his trade you can expect banger after banger, getting you excited for some massive magic clashes.

In between games you better be sure to get your good side as our cams on the ground will be capturing the fun and challenging fans and giving away prizes. Dacia Magic Masterminds will set out to find out which fan knows more about their club, so get ready to have your knowledge put to the test!
