'The Extra Mile - The Inside Story' premieres tonight

Today is the first anniversary of Kevin Sinfield completing his epic 7 in 7 Challenge back in December 2020 and, to mark the occasion, Leeds Rhinos will be premiering their latest exclusive film that shows Sinfield’s most recent fundraising challenge when he ran 101 miles in 24 hours last month.

Sinfield has now raised over £5 million inside twelve months from his two challenges and has inspired hundreds more people to take up their own challenges.

Fittingly, given how important the number 7 has been in both of Kevin’s challenges, the Rhinos will premiere their latest film at 7pm. The film is produced by Leeds-based film company RAM Films who were granted exclusive access throughout the day long challenge from Leicester to Leeds and have captured previously unseen moments as Sinfield faced a physical and mental battle to get to the finish line.

Donations from Sinfield's Extra Mile challenge will be split equally between the Leeds Hospitals Charity appeal to build the Rob Burrow Centre for MND supporting people living with MND and their families, and the MND Association which funds multi-disciplinary care delivered at the Centre and others across the country, as well as research into potential treatments for the disease.
