Tomkins to miss inaugural French derby

Current Steve Prescott MBE Man of Steel Sam Tomkins is set to miss the inaugural Betfred Super League French derby after suffering an injury during Catalans Challenge Cup Quarter Final against St Helens over the weekend.

Tomkins underwent scans to determine the extent of his injury after leaving the field injured on Saturday, with the scans showing the full back to have a small fracture to the fibula. It is estimated that he will be unavailable for the next 4 weeks, meaning he will be unavailable for the Dragons Round 8 clash with Toulouse on Thursday Night.
