Yaha pens new deal

Fouad Yaha has signed a new two-year contract at Catalans Dragons. The France International winger has put pen to paper on a contract extension that will secure his future at the Gilbert Brutus Stadium until the end of the 2024 season.

Yaha, who came through the club Academy, joined the Dragons in 2015 to play for their under 19's team and made his Super League debut the season after, named Rookie of the year at the Dragons in 2016.

He joined Rugby Union club Agen in the Top14 at the end of the 2018 season but returned to the Dragons at the start of the 2019 season.

He recently broke the record to become the club's all-time leading try scorer, crossing for 89 tries in 138 appearances for the Dragons.

On signing his new deal, Yaha said: "I’m very happy to stay at the Dragons. I feel really good here and I enjoy every day with this team. We have a strong squad and I’m proud to be part of it. It’s an honour to be the new club best try scorer and I’m looking forward to help the club to achieve success.

Head Coach Steve McNamara added: "Fouad is a hugely popular member of the team and we are happy he has agreed a new deal. He has a drive and ambition to continually look to improve his game and we look forward to working with him to enable that to happen."
