Catapult stats tracker: The Pryce is right

While the Giants fell agonisingly short against St Helens on Thursday Night, it didn't prevent Will Pryce from putting in the extra effort to register some impressive GPS stats on the night.

Pryce covered more distance than any other player in Round 6 - the young full-back travelled over 9 kilometres across a busy 80-minute display for the Giants. And he didn't stop there. As well as covering more distance than anyone else across the weekend, he also worked at a higher intensity too. Pryce worked at an impressive 104 metres per minute, ahead of teammate Nathan Peats (102 m/min) and Hull KR's Lachlan Coote (102 m/min).

Elsewhere, Harry Newman continued his journey back from injury with a 69 minute stint against Catalans. Newman's involvement is constantly increasing game by game, and he recorded an impressive 11 high speed efforts on Saturday - second only to Wigan flyer Jai Field (13).

Catalans duo Arthur Mourgue and Tom Johnstone recorded the two quickest speeds of the Round. Mourgue clocked a top speed of 34.44 km/h - the third fastest speed of the 2023 season. His teammate - and joint Super League top try scorer Johnstone - was close behind with a top speed of 33.96 km/h.
