George Williams named Glen’s Player of the Month

Rugby League fans have spoken - and George Williams of Warrington Wolves has been named Glen's Vodka Super League Player of the Month for March.
The coveted award to recognise the competition's form player is being decided for the first time in 2023 through the votes of supporters on the Our League app.
After a huge response when the six candidates were revealed last week, the Warrington half-back has come out on top as March?s Glen's Vodka Player of the Month in a close contest securing 23.5% of the vote.
Having starred for England during the Rugby League World Cup - including captaining the side during their group stage victory against Greece - half-back Williams has begun the season in fantastic form and currently leads the way in the Steve Prescott MBE Man of Steel race.
28-year-old Williams joined Warrington after a successful spell with NRL side Canberra Raiders in 2021 and is now a key-figure in Daryl Powell?s side who are the only Super League club to have maintained a 100% win record this season.
The battle for who will follow Williams as Glen's Vodka Player of the Month for April has already started - last weekend's Betfred Super League Rivals Round matches were the first to count, with dramatic victories for Wigan Warriors and Leeds Rhinos, and Round Nine kicking off on Thursday April 13 when Salford Red Devils face Castleford Tigers. The shortlist will be announced at the end of the month.
