Lewis wins Glen's Player of the Month
3 May 2023

Rugby League fans have spoken - and Mikey Lewis of Hull KR has been named Glen's Vodka Super League Player of the Month for April.
He follows cross-city rival Tex Hoy and Warrington Wolves star George Williams as the third Glen's Vodka Player of the Month for the 2023 season - meaning players from three different clubs have won the first three awards.
The coveted award to recognise the competition's form player is being decided for the first time in 2023 through the votes of supporters on the Our League app.
After a huge response when the six candidates were revealed last week, the Hull KR half-back come out on top as April's Glen's Vodka Player of the Month after securing 32.2% of the vote.
Robins won all three of their fixtures in April - an emphatic derby win against Hull FC on Good Friday, followed by a significant success against the champions St Helens and a tough away win at Castleford - to extend their winning run to five consecutive matches, going into Friday night's home fixture against Huddersfield Giants.
Lewis made his debut for the Robins back in 2019 having come through the City of Hull Academy and before that the West Hull community club, and celebrated his 50th appearance for Hull KR during their round 10 win over Castleford Tigers.
The 21-year-old has had an impressive start to the season and crossed the whitewash twice during KR's shock 26-14 victory over current champions St Helens - their first triumph over Saints since 2015.
The battle for who will follow Lewis as Glen's Vodka Player of the Month for May will begin on Thursday (May 4) when Hull FC face league leaders Wigan Warriors in a clash that can be seen live on Sky Sports Arena from 7:30pm with the remaining round 11 fixtures taking place on May 5. The shortlist will be announced at the end of the month.
