Bennison wins Northern Try of the Month

The 2023 Betfred Super League season continued to thrill in April, and we were treated to some brilliant tries across three fantastic rounds of action. 

Of all the tries scored, a shortlist of six was put to a fan vote on the Our League app and after a closely fought contest, Jon Bennison's superb score for St Helens against Warrington Wolves has been named as April's Northern Try of the Month winner.

Bennison, a try-scorer in Saints' Grand Final win last season, picked up the ball just inside the Wolves' half before evading one tackle and producing a delicious dummy to race in and score. 

The Northern Try of the Month is awarded each month of the Super League season running from February to September, with fans giving the chance to pick their favourite and vote via the Our League app.
