Catapult stats tracker: Saints lead the way

St Helens players led the way in Round 12 as the Champions romped home to victory against the Red Devils on Channel 4.

Tee Ritson hit the top speed of the Round with an impressive maximum velocity of 35.13km/h. Ritson's wing partner, Tommy Makinson, was close behind with a top speed of 34.12km/h.

As well as recording the top speed in Round 12, Ritson clocked more high speed efforts than any other player too. The former Barrow Raiders flyer recorded 13 sprints against the Red Devils, one more than the Leeds Rhinos' Ash Handley (12).

St Helens players were a regular feature at the top of the Round 12 Catapult metrics, with young dynamic duo Lewis Dodd and Jack Welsby covering more distance than any other players. Dodd covered a Round high distance of 8705 metres whilst Jack Welsby covered 8657 metres.

Elsewhere, the Round opener between winless Wakefield Trinity and Hull FC saw individual players working at a higher intensity than the rest of the competition. Hull FC pair Danny Houghton (106 metres/min) and Davy Litten (103 metres/min) were the standouts from Round 12, as was Trinity youngster Harry Bowes (102 metres/min).
