Dragons complete Magic weekend for Logan

Catalans Dragons were among the biggest winners at the 2023 Magic Weekend in Newcastle - and for one youngster from Bradford, that completed the perfect birthday weekend.

 Logan Lamont combines support for the Bulls from his home city with a soft spot for the Dragons.

It was his 14th birthday on Sunday, and when his mum, Viv, won four weekend tickets for Magic in a special Super League competition - including a night in the Sandman Signature hotel which literally overlooks St James' Park - it was the Catalans versus Wigan Warriors clash which he most wanted to watch.

And the Dragons turned on the style for Logan with a 46-22 win to storm to the top of the Betfred Super League table.

As an added bonus, RL Commercial worked with the Dragons to present Logan with a Catalans jersey signed by the full team.

"We all had a fantastic weekend from start to finish," said Viv.

"Logan chose to take his friend, Ben, who is as big a Rugby League fan as he is - and Ben brought his mum, Teresa. The seats were amazing, the hotel was amazing, the games were amazing and the signed Catalans shirt was out of this world and will be treasured by Logan for the rest of his life."

Dragons captain Ben Garcia said:

"Hopefully the number of our English fans can grow if we can reach the Play-Offs again this year - and maybe they can even cheer us to Old Trafford."
