James Harrison to remain with Warrington until 2026
7 Feb 2024

Warrington Wolves have announced that James Harrison has signed a contract extension keeping him at the club until the end of the 2026 season, with the option for a further year.
The 27-year-old prop-forward joined the club back in 2022 and has since made 32 appearances for the Wolves, crossing for five tries. Harrison was also on the scoresheet in Warrington's most-recent pre-season friendly against Leigh Leopards on Saturday evening.
Harrison made his international debut in 2023 featuring in England's 64-0 victory over France at Warrington's Halliwell Jones Stadium.
On the new deal, Harrison told the club: "I'm buzzing to have signed a new deal and it was a no-brainer for me. I've had a really good pre-season. I felt fit, fresh and I'm ready now for the new season.
"Sam [Burgess] was my hero growing up and it's been really exciting to work with him. It's the first time I've been coached by someone who played in my position which has been great for advice and improving my game.
"I got the England call-up last year and that's a big aim of mine this year to get back into the international squad."
Warrington boss Sam Burgess added: "Jimmy [James Harrison] epitomises what a Wire player looks like. He'supes tough, honest and most of all a great guy.
"It's another great signing for us and secures our middle unit moving forward."
The Wolves kick-off their 2024 Betfred Super League campaign on the road to Catalans Dragons on Saturday 17 February in a game which is available to SuperLeague+ subscribers here.
