With the return of the Betfred Super League for 2024, this means that the Steve Prescott MBE Man of Steel points system and leaderboard also returns!

Hull FC v Hull KR

Mikey Lewis' magic made a crucial impact to Hull KR's comfortable derby win. His show and go try and passionate performance for the Robins has earned him three Steve Prescott Man of Steel points, whilst Kelepi Tanginoa picks up two points for his outstanding efforts on debut. Newcomer Niall Evalds receives one point after him bagged himself a brace and contributed to the 22-0 victory.

Leeds Rhinos v Salford Red Devils

Speedy winger Ash Handley helped Leeds Rhinos get off to a perfect start with a sensational solo try on Friday. With an impressive 173 metres from just 12 carries, Handley was deservedly handed three Man of Steel points. Although on the losing side, Nene MacDonald's efforts did not go unnoticed as he put in a hard shift against his former club, therefore receiving two points. And who could forget Sam Lisone's match winner for the Rhinos, resulting in the powerhouse prop being awarded one point.

Leigh Leopards v Huddersfield Giants

Jack Murchie was impressive for Huddersfield Giants on his debut, earning three Man of Steel points. And as consistent as ever, Giants stalwart Leroy Cudjoe is awarded two points for a top performance, and Leigh's Lachlan Lam receives one point this week.

Highlights: Huddersfield secure a Round 1 victory over Leigh Leopards.

St Helens v London Broncos

Daryl Clark earned three points after a commanding performance - his first in the Red V. His team-mate, Matt Whitley, who also enjoyed a dream debut, was the recipient of two points, and the opening round's top metre maker and veteran Alex Walmsley made it a full house for St Helens in the opening round.

Castleford Tigers v Wigan Warriors

It was also a clean sweep for Wigan Warriors in Round 1, as their Player of the Match Patrick Mago picked up three points. Behind him, Kaide Ellis was awarded two points, and the reliable Liam Farrell earns one point this week.

Catalans Dragons v Warrington Wolves

Over in Perpignan, and it was clear that Tariq Sims had well and truly arrived. The NRL stalwart produced an outstanding performance which significantly contributed to his side's victory, as he takes the three points in Round 1. Then, the two points go the way of Tom Davies, before George Williams for Warrington takes one point.
