Super League: Round 6 Preview

St Helens remain the only unbeaten side going into Round 6, with their star man James Roby leading the way in the hunt for Man of Steel. The game of the round will surely be on Friday night, a repeat of last year's Grand Final as Wigan face Warrington, the game has been dubbed 'Bad Blood', the two sides will then face each other at Magic Weekend in Liverpool!
Thursday: Huddersfield Giants vs St Helens (Live on Sky Sports, 7:45PM)
Huddersfield Giants will return to the John Smith’s Stadium with their confidence sky high after they beat the reigning champions Wigan Warriors at the DW Stadium in Round 5. They couldn’t have asked for a tougher test though, they’ll face the only remaining unbeaten in Super League, St Helens.
Saints have been outstanding so far this season, they beat London Broncos at the Totally Wicked Stadium and were without their Man of Steel candidate James Roby, who missed out on the 17-man squad due to an injury.
Friday: Hull FC vs Wakefield Trinity (K.O 7:45PM)
Hull FC are three games unbeaten after beating Leeds Rhinos in Round Five, they’ve been inspired by new signing Ratu Naulago and he could be joined by Andre Savelio after FC announced the signing of the former Saints and Warrington player earlier this week.
Wakefield will be looking to bounce straight back from their defeat at the Mobile Rocket Stadium against Hull KR, in tough conditions they lost 10-6 with Danny Brough kicking all of their points.
Friday: Leeds Rhinos vs London Broncos (K.O 7:45PM)
London Broncos currently sit two points ahead of Leeds Rhinos after winning two games, Rhinos have only won one game so far. It’s been a disappointing start to the season for new coach Dave Furner, his only victory came at the AJ Bell Stadium against Salford Red Devils.
London Broncos have been inconsistent so far, there win against Wakefield Trinity was a big shock, and then there win against Wigan Warriors was an even bigger shock, but they’ve fell short against Salford Red Devils, St Helens, Hull KR and Castleford Tigers.
Friday: Warrington Wolves vs Wigan Warriors (Live on Sky Sports, 7:45PM)
It’s the first time the two sides have faced each other since the 2018 Grand Final, it’s been labelled ‘Bad Blood’ and it’s the first instalment with the second fixture being held at Anfield during Magic Weekend.
Warrington have only lost one game this season against Catalans Dragons in Perpignan, their rivals Wigan Warriors, have struggled so far under the guidance of Adrian Lam, they have only won one game and sit near the foot of the table.

Sunday: Hull KR vs Catalans Dragons (Live on Sky Sports, 3PM)
Steve McNamara will be hoping his side bounce back from their embarrassing 46-0 loss against Salford in Perpignan. The French side have had an inconsistent start to the season winning two and losing three.
It’s been a similar story for KR, who have won three and lost three, they beat Wakefield in Round 5, but have lost three games against; Warrington Wolves,
Sunday: Castleford Tigers vs Salford Red Devils (K.O 3:30PM)
Castleford return to the Mend-A-Hose jungle after losing to Warrington Wolves at the Halliwell Jones during Round 5, it was Tigers’ first loss of the season after winning their first four games.
Salford Red Devils will be on a high, they put in the best performance during Round 5 as they went to Perpignan and beat Catalans Dragons 46-0, Salford are currently in fourth place after winning four out of six games.
