An update on the Betfred Wheelchair Super League Play-Offs

Halifax Panthers booked their place in the 2025 Betfred Wheelchair Super League Grand Final in the latest round of Play-Off fixtures at the David Ross Sports Village in Nottingham last Saturday.

In a triple-header of fixtures that were all shown live on The Sportsman, the Panthers beat London Roosters 36-28, with four of their tries from Rob Hawkins – to stay on course for a treble of the major honours for the Wheelchair season, having already beaten the Roosters to win the Betfred Wheelchair Challenge Cup, and having also clinched the League Leaders’ Shield.

Wayne Boardman’s team will be presented with the Shield at the third and final round of Play-Offs at the University of Hull this Saturday – when they face Wigan Warriors.

The Warriors stayed in contention for a Grand Final appearance by beating Hull FC 72-24 in Nottingham to claim their first Play-Off win.

And Hull FC now face the Roosters in the last round of fixtures – with the London side knowing that a win would make them favourites to reach the Grand Final.

Meanwhile Leeds Rhinos won a high-scoring game against Sheffield Eagles 94-38 in a meeting of two of the three Super League sides who did not make the Play-Offs.

Leeds will round off their season against Edinburgh Giants in Hull, the last game of the day kicking off at 4pm.

Halifax will look to remain undefeated as they take on the Warriors (KO 12pm) in the first game of the day. Following their battle is London Roosters v Hull FC (KO 2pm) in the fight for a Grand Final place.

Who will be joining the Panthers in the final?

The 2025 Betfred Wheelchair Super League Grand Final at the National Basketball Performance Centre in Manchester, on Sunday 28 September (KO 5.30pm).
