Matt Davis returns to London

Davis signs a one-month loan

The 22-year-old back-row forward joined the Wolves on a two-year deal from the Broncos but has yet to break into Steve Price’s team and has instead been playing on dual-registration for Betfred Championship club Rochdale Hornets.

Now the Nuneaton-born Davis will get the chance to make his Betfred Super League debut for his old club after joining the Londoners on a month’s loan.

Davis, who missed the Broncos’ win over Toronto Wolfpack in the Million Pound Game last September due to injury, goes straight into coach Danny Ward’s squad for the visit to St Helens on Friday.

Ward said: “Matty is a great lad with an attitude to match and we are sure he will add lots to the group.

“He was a big part of the Broncos and what we have achieved over the last few years and it’s great to have him back.??

Davis is the second Warrington back rower to be loaned out this week after Luis Johnson moved to Championship club Widnes Vikings.
