Top performers
Rowan Milnes (82 points)
The scrum half’s performance on Friday night under the lights as Bullmania returned was a key factor in the Bulls dominating the Dragons! Milnes Converted all six of his kicks at goal, kicked a crucial a 40/20, set up two tries and made five tackle busts.
Milnes’ huge contribution to his side’s first win of the season could be a sign of things to come with the half back leading the team around the field and proving crucial to his sides’ chances of earning more wins this season.
Joe Shorrocks (80 points)
Shorrock’s proved his worth to his new team with Paul Rowley’s side earning their first win of the season. Scoring a try, carrying the ball for seventy metres and making a team best 46 tackles.
The loose forward’s workmanlike effort proved important to the result on Friday night and that effort should translate to consistent points this season. For only 100k, he provides a cheap loose forward option.
Brodie Croft (77 points)
The Rhinos ran riot at AMT Headlingley in round two and so did Brodie Croft! The stand-off ran for one hundred and fifty metres against the Knights, made four tackle busts, scored and set up a try.
The Aussie stand-off has always been known for his attacking threat and contributions. That threat can turn into consistent points for any fantasy team. If you need to change your team’s stand-off Croft is a very strong choice.
Ruebenn Rennie (75 points)
Toulouse have impressed this season, being one of only two teams to have started the season with two wins from two! Who saw that coming? Safe to say the Tigers’ defenders didn’t see Rennie coming. The centre carried the ball for one hundred and fifty metres, scoring two tries and breaking through nine tackles. What an effort!
Rennie’s effort against the Tigers translated into seventy five points in round 2. That output should make you consider the centre for your team. Especially at only 100k!
Joe Mellor (75 points)
Mellor backed up an impressive opening day performance with another tireless display on Friday Night. The Bulls captain had a busy evening through the middle, making 37 tackles in defence, alongside 87 run metres from 13 carries, three tackle busts, three offloads and two clean breaks.
After two rounds, Mellor is the premium player in the loose forward position.
Jai Field (74 points)
A star of the Betfred Super League, the full-back shone brightly as the Warriors hammered Hull FC over the weekend. Field scored two tries, carried the ball for 180 metres, broke through nine tackles and made two line breaks!
Priced at 170k the fullback is by no means a cheap option but if you have the funds, he’s nothing short of a shoe-in for any Betfred Fantasy Super League side.
Fantasy flops
Nene McDonald's home St Helens debut lasted just 20 minutes after leaving the field injured on Friday Night. The PNG centre manged just 6 Fantasy points and could now be set for a stint on the sidelines.
Experienced winger Tommy Makinson had a quiet evening at Odsal on Friday Night. He registered just ten points after failing to cross the whitewash, alongside two errors and a penalty conceded.
Romeo Troppis and Connor Wynne, who both registered top 10 scores in the opening round of Fantasy, failed to back it up in Round 2, scoring just 12 and 14 points respectively.
