Birthday Round Team of the Week (Round 6)

The Team of the Week is in for Super League’s 30th Birthday Round!

There’s a trio of Tigers in the first time in 2026, following their big win over the Bulls.

Jason Qareqare starred in the Tigers’ victory over their local rivals on Thursday Night with a first half hat-trick. So good they named him twice!

Likewise, Krystian Mapalangi got three try assists to his name as Castleford’s left edge proved problematic for Bradford at the OneBore Stadium.

Loan signing Tom Forber also settled well into Ryan Carr’s team, with 27 tackles and a try assist.

Hull KR’s hat-trick heroes Joe Burgess and magic Mikey Lewis made 286 metres combined as the Robins ran riot against St Helens in their first home fixture of the Super League season.

Lewis also produced three try assists and six tackle busts - a trademark performance from the champions' number 6.

The third player to feature in Super League’s Birthday Team of the Week is James Batchelor.

Caleb Hamlin-Uele impressed as Wakefield Trinity ensured a clean sweep of victories in March.

Hamlin-Uele completed 33 tackles, ran 127 metres in just 14 carries and made five tackle busts – an exceptional showing in just a 43-minute stint for the prop forward.

Huddersfield Giants then pulled off the biggest shock of the season so far as they put Wigan Warriors to the sword at The Brick Community Stadium.

The returning Adam Clune created a real masterclass, whilst Tom Burgess’ leadership and experience also inspired the Giants to their first Super League win of the year.

Burgess rolled back the years during his 36 minutes on the pitch, running 108 metres and assisting one try.

Gareth O’Brien did what he does best on Saturday and came up with a dramatic one-pointer to secure the Leopards a crucial victory.

Golden Point extra time has never been a problem for O’Brien…

John Asiata’s stunning stats speak for themselves as the Black & Whites survived a late Dragons comeback and sealed back-to-back wins.

The Hull FC skipper was in fine form with 139 metres in just 23 carries, as well as 27 tackles to his name.

His teammate James Bell wasn’t too far behind – making 21 tackles and 97 metres, and also assisting two tries.

What a Headingley debut for Jack Bird that was in Round 6! Bird came to life in the centres in Birthday Round with one try, 21 tackles and 121 metres.

Has he started as he means to go on?
