Round Seven's 3-point winners for the Steve Prescott MBE Man of Steel vote…

Seven rounds into the 2019 Super League season and over 70 players have been awarded Man of Steel points, Betfred's favourite at the start of the year, Blake Austin, has made the top 10 standings this week after picking up three points. 

A member of the panel will watch each Betfred Super League game in 2019 and award points to the three outstanding players: 3 points for their chosen stand-out performer, two points for the runner-up, and 1-point for their third ranked player. 

The scores will be made public every week, until Round 22 in mid-July. After that, the poll will be hidden until the Awards Ceremony in October.

Wakefield Trinity vs Warrington Wolves (Blake Austin)

At the start of the season Blake Austin was Betfred’s favourite to win the Steve Prescott MBE Man of Steel award. He picked up his second 3-pointer this weekend to take him to six points, he scored a try, made 119 metres and assisted this try…

Huddersfield Giants vs Hull KR (Lee Gaskell)

Lee Gaskell was the star man in only Huddersfield’s second win of the season, it was a convincing 42-8 victory over Hull KR. Gaskell assisted a try and made 108 metres. 

Castleford Tigers vs St Helens (Jonny Lomax)

Jonny Lomax made a mammoth 217 metres in Saints’ victory over Castleford to remain the only team unbeaten in Super League. He also scored a try and assisted a try to pick up his first three Man of Steel points.

Catalans Dragons vs Leeds Rhinos (Fouad Yaha)

Fouad Yaha scored four tries as Catalans Dragons moved up to fifth in Betfred Super League with a 26-22 victory over struggling Leeds Rhinos in Perpignan. Like Lomax, he picked up his first Man of Steel points. 

Salford Red Devils vs Wigan Warriors (George Williams)

George Williams was awarded his second 3-points to take him up to six Man of Steel points, the stand-off scored a hat-trick and made 169 metres as Wigan Warriors beat Salford Red Devils 30-22. 

London Broncos vs Hull FC (Josh Griffin) 

Josh Griffin scored two tries and assisted a try as Hull FC returned to winning ways at London Broncos in tightly contested 28-24 win.
