Betfred Wheelchair Super League Round 3 Preview

Bradford Bulls will kick-off Round 3 of the Betfred Wheelchair Super League as they host London Roosters at Sedbergh Centre on Saturday with both sides looking to build momentum heading into the third round of fixtures.

The Bulls will be determined to secure their first Super League victory after making the step up to the top flight this year, but they face a difficult challenge against a Roosters side on top form.

London travel to Bradford unbeaten after the opening rounds and remain one of only two teams yet to suffer a defeat this season.

Saturday’s final game sees Leeds Rhinos take on Wigan Warriors after the two sides met just last weekend in the Betfred Wheelchair Challenge Cup.

The Rhinos came out on top in a fiercely contested encounter with neither side able to break the deadlock early on due to the intensity of the contest:

“It was a really tough game, we haven’t played Wigan since last year so it was good to get a run out against them, they’re a really good team,” said Leeds’ Nathan Collins.

“That showed in the first 20 minutes where for the first couple of sets there were no tries. It was 50-50, they had the ball, we had the ball, we kept on the attack and defence all the time, no tries, no stops.”

The Rhinos will be aiming to secure another win over the Warriors this weekend as they continue their strong start to both competitions:

“I’m looking forward to it, it’ll be great to play them again," added Collins.

“We can learn from what we could have improved on from last week and try to be better at those things and try some new combinations in the League this weekend.”

“We’ve got Cam back this weekend, it’ll be good for him to get back in the team after he got injured against London.

“It should be a good game, it should be another tight game.”

Sunday’s action begins with Sheffield Eagles taking on Hull FC. The Eagles claimed their first Super League victory in Round 2 and will be looking to build on that success this weekend after falling short against Halifax Panthers in their revised fixture ahead of Round 8.

Rounding off the weekend are Edinburgh Giants who host defending champions the Panthers in what promises to be a tense encounter as Halifax look to maintain their perfect record in the 2026 season.
