Round 12 kicked off with a Betfred Super League Grand Final rematch. Hull KR and Wigan Warriors met ahead of their Betfred Challenge Cup Final clash next Saturday, with the champions coming out ruthless 62-4 winners against a youthful Warriors outfit.

The Warriors side included 10 debutants who showed courageous spirit, but the hosts proved far too strong and ran in eleven tries, including a 17-minute hat-trick from magic Mikey Lewis.

Nathan Lowe's score in the second half was Wigan's only try, but one he is sure to remember.

Friday evening saw two dominant displays from the home sides as Leeds Rhinos and Leigh Leopards both swept away their opposition.

The Rhinos kept the Giants scoreless, with nine tries scored in the 52-0 rout.

England internationals Mikolaj Oledzki and Harry Newman both scored twice during the success.

Over at the Leigh Sports Village, they also touched down nine times, however, with kicking an issue the Leopards came out on top 42-6.

Josh Charnley opened the scoring, before Zak Hardaker put the visitors ahead.

The Leopards managed to register two more tries before half time, with all three conversion attempts unsuccesful.

A strong second half display included another two tries for Charnley, who moved to within two of Ryan Hall at the top of the Super League all time try scorer standings.

A feast of Super League action took place on Saturday, with three games played.

The afternoon started in Castleford as the Tigers defeated the Saints.

Fijian international Jason Qareqare scored a hat-trick which helped the West Yorkshire side record their fifth win of the season.

Trinity survived a late scare to defeat Toulouse in France.

Tries from Oli Pratt, Jazz Tevaga, Seth Nikotemo and Caius Faatili put Daryl Powell's side in a comfortable 22-8 lead heading into the final quarter.

Two tries in the space of three minutes from Olly Ashall-Bott and Paul Ulberg saw the hosts get to within four, however, they were unable to score the crucial try.

Saturday's action was completed with the Dragons defeating the Knights.

The two halves contrasted themselves, with just six points scored in the opening 40 minutes before 52 points coming in the second stanza.

Three tries in a short period from the Dragons looked to be enough, before a late surge from the Knights closed the gap.

It was not enough to snatch away the victory from new Dragons' Head Coach John Cartwright in his first game in charge.

Round 12 concluded with the Wolves defeating the Bulls.

Josh Thewlis and Luke Thomas saw the Wolves race into a 10-0 lead in nearly as many minutes.

A further try stretched their lead to 14-0 before Bradford hit back.

Ewan Irwin and Matty Ashton both crossed to put the Wolves in a commanding position.

Jayden Nikorima's consolation try saw the Bulls leave with a 26-12 defeat.

The Betfred Super League will return on Thursday 4 June for Round 13, with the Betfred Challenge Cup Final taking place on Saturday (30 May).
