Magic WKND unveils new Official Match Ball as Betfred launches 'Catch & Keep' Fan Initiative

Magic WKND will introduce a brand-new Official Match Ball for Round 17 of the Betfred Super League, with the specially designed ball making its debut across every fixture. 

Created exclusively for Magic WKND, it features a bold, eye-catching design inspired by one of rugby league's biggest annual celebrations, giving one of the sport's most iconic events its own distinctive identity on the field. 

But the excitement won't stop at kick-off. 

In a first for the event, title partner Betfred is launching a new Catch & Keep initiative, meaning any fan who catches an official match ball that enters the crowd during play will be able to keep it as a lasting souvenir from the weekend. 

Whether from a towering conversion, a penalty kick or a booming clearance into the stands, lucky supporters will head home with the official Magic WKND match ball. 

The initiative has been introduced to reward fans attending Magic WKND while creating even more memorable moments throughout one of rugby league's biggest weekends of the season. 

The Official Match Ball is exclusively for use during the games at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday July 4 and Sunday July 5 and will not be available for retail sale.  

The new Official Match Ball will feature across all seven Super League fixtures, including French Magic, with supporters encouraged to keep an eye on the action both on the pitch and in the stands for their chance to take home a unique piece of Magic WKND. 

Magic WKND Merchandise and fan balls will be available to purchase at the event via the Oxen pop-up stores. 

More than 75,000 tickets have already sold for the biggest Magic WKND in history.
