Tyson Gamble to join the Dragons in 2027

Catalans Dragons have announced the signing of Tyson Gamble from the 2027 Betfred Super League season.

The 30-year-old Newcastle Knights player who can play half-back or loose forward has signed a two-year contract with the club.

Tyson Gamble said: “I’m so excited to pull the Catalan Dragons jersey on for the next two seasons. I'm grateful to the club for this opportunity and I hope I can do them and the fans proud!”

Born in Brisbane, he made his professional debut with the Wests Tigers in 2018. Two seasons later, he joined the Brisbane Broncos before signing with Newcastle in 2023.

In his first year with the Knights, he helped the club to return to the NRL Play-Offs.

Tyson Gamble has scored nine tries and made 32 try assists in 70 NRL appearances. A versatile player, renowned for his commitment and leadership qualities, he has also made 94 appearances in the New South Wales Cup and Queensland Cup.

He won the Queensland Cup in 2022 with the Norths Devils, the Broncos’ affiliated club.

Dragons head coach, John Cartwright, said: “Tyson is another player I have worked with in the past. A super competitive player. He brings the same attitude to training, and brings the experience of a good kicking game and is a strong defender.

"He will be a great addition to the squad.”
