Magic WKND Fantasy debrief

PLAY FANTASY LEAGUE HERE!

Magic WKND 2026 delivered on every promise!

It certainly was Rugby League’s biggest summer festival, with players producing moments of magic on the pitch, whilst being surrounded by plenty of magic off the field as well.

What does all this mean for Fantasy players looking to upgrade their team heading into Round 18? Here are the top performers from Magic WKND…

Top performers

Ash Handley (128 points)

The Rhinos skipper is in stellar form and put in a remarkable shift at Magic WKND as his side hammered local rivals Bradford Bulls.

Handley not only crossed the whitewash three times; he also provided two try assists, and made five clean line breaks, alongside a mammoth twelve busts!

His performance will live long in the memory of everyone who was at the Hill Dickinson on Sunday!

Handley is certainly a player that punches above his £130k price tag, and given both his and his side’s red-hot form at present, there is no doubt he can elevate anyone’s Fantasy team!

Are you putting him in your side for Round 18?

Olly Ashall-Bott (103 points)

The Toulouse number one put in a phenomenal full-back performance as the Olympique convincingly beat the Dragons at Stade Pierre-Fabres as Magic WKND went to Castres!

Ashall-Bott ran for 220 metres, scored two tries and assisted another two. He also made three clean line breaks and eleven tackle busts, causing all kind of problems for his defenders.

Looking to change your full-back but not break the bank? Star boy Ashall-Bott should be at the top of your list.

Caleb Hamlin-Uele (100 points)

What a display from the Trinity powerhouse, crossing the whitewash on his first touch in the game!

The prop made three clean line breaks, ran for 120 metres and burst through ten Castleford tacklers as his side retained bragging rights on the big stage.

With Wakefield on the rise, you can’t do much better than Hamlin-Uele! He's bound to bring in those vital Fantasy points as we head towards the Final Charge.

Mathieu Jussaume (81 points)

Fantasy players in 2026 should be well accustomed to Mathieu Jussaume. The versatile Frenchmen is a vital member of the Toulouse side and consistently has his name in and around the top performers list.

At French Magic WKND, Jussaume scored two tries, offloaded the twice and busted through five would be Dragons’ defenders.

He is the second Toulouse player to feature this week, alongside Ashall-Bott, highlighting their sides' superb performance.

In need of points in your centre spots? You shouldn’t pass up on Jussaume!

Tom Jonhstone (74 points)

The Wakefield speedster had a day to remember on Sunday!

Scoring two tries was just the start for Johnstone - he ran 199 metres in 17 carries, and made four clean line breaks, as well as six tackle busts against the Tigers in Liverpool.

Johnstone has appeared on this list before, proving he’s a consistent source of Fantasy points.

Will he be part of your team as we enter an important part of the season?

Don't forget to pre-register your interest here for Magic WKND 2027, as we return to the Hill Dickinson in Liverpool next May!
