Paul McShane Disciplinary outcome

Castleford Tigers' Paul McShane Pleaded Guilty but challenged the grading of a Grade D Use of forearm/elbow - intentional.

The incident occurred in the game between Leeds Rhinos and Castleford Tigers on Thursday evening.

The challenge to the grading was unsuccessful and the tribunal found the grading at grade D was correct and appropriate.

McShane received a 3 match suspension. In going to the lower end of the grading, the tribunal took into consideration the players good previous record, there was no injury caused and the player showed immediate remorse by checking with opponent on the field of play.

The Castleford number nine also received a £500 fine.
