Round 19 Preview

Every minute matters from now.

League positions are at stake with constant movement in the Betfred Super League table. Nobody is safe in the top six just yet, with eight teams currently well within the Play-Off race.

Then, there is pride to play for across the board as we find ourselves enjoying a sensational Summer of League!

What can we expect in Round 19? Don't forget you can watch six games LIVE on SuperLeague+!

Thursday 16 July

Bradford Bulls v Wakefield Trinity (20.00) - live on Sky Sports+ and SuperLeague+

Thursday Night Super League kicks off with Bradford hosting Wakefield at Bartercard Odsal. It was a comfortable victory for Trinity in the reverse fixture, beating the Bulls, 52-12.

And after their statement win over the champions in the previous round, the people of Wakefield might just start believing that they could be on course to achieve their best ever finish in the Super League era in 2026.

That said, there is still a long way to go where the regular season is concerned.

Bradford's home turf is no easy place to go, however, therefore a fiery contest is anticipated between the two old foes.

Friday 17 July

Huddersfield Giants v Wigan Warriors (20.00) - live on Sky Sports+ and SuperLeague+

It's a tie between two sides at the opposite end of the Super League table, as Huddersfield welcome Wigan to the Accu Stadium.

The odds are stacked heavily in the Warriors' favour, as Matt Peet's men seek a seventh straight victory.

Meanwhile, the Giants' last win came in early April as they remain rooted to the bottom of the pile.

Their last meeting, however, did see Huddersfield cause one of the upsets of the season, as they defeated Wigan 16-34 at The Brick Community Stadium.

The unexpected has happened more times than not in 2026, but will Wigan prove too strong on this occasion?

St Helens v Catalans Dragons (20.00) - live on BBC iPlayer, Sky Sports+ and SuperLeague+

7th and 8th meet at the BrewDog Stadium with a crucial two points at stake.

St Helens, along with Catalans Dragons, are the Play-Off potentials currently outside the top six.

Saints dropped out of the six last Sunday, following a shock defeat to Toulouse they'll want to forget as quickly as possible.

Similarly, Catalans also endured a tough loss to Leeds on home soil, so how will these two sides fare in Round 19?

Saturday 18 July

Warrington Wolves v Hull KR (15.00) - live on Sky Sports

This will be Warrington and Hull KR's first Super League meeting in 2026. They did come up against each other in the Challenge Cup semi-finals back in May, where the Robins ran out 32-12 winners to reach Wembley.

Fast forward two months, and both sides are sitting in the top six, where they are hoping to strengthen their positions in the league ladder.

Hull FC v Leigh Leopards (17.30) - live on Sky Sports+ and SuperLeague+

Can the Leopards continue their impressive winning run? Hull FC dropped to 13th after Round 18's results, meaning Andy Last's troops will be low on confidence.

Leigh, on the contrary, have the momentum in their favour and will be further boosted by the fact that they enter this game sitting in sixth place after switching with rivals St Helens.

The question is - who will be occupying sixth spot after Round 19?

Toulouse Olympique v York Knights (20.00, UK) - live on Sky Sports+ and SuperLeague+

We head to a scorching Stade Ernest-Wallon on Saturday Night.  Sylvain Houles' Toulouse will be on a high after their record win over St Helens last Sunday and are aiming to go back-to-back.

At the same time, the Knights are searching for three wins on the spin, which would be a Super League first for the club.

Which team will carry on their fine form?

Sunday 19 July

Castleford Tigers v Leeds Rhinos (15.00) - live on Sky Sports+ and SuperLeague+

Another West Yorkshire Derby awaits in Round 19, and this time, it's the Tigers and the Rhinos that will conclude the action.

Nobody can catch a red hot Leeds at present as they find themselves four points clear at the top of the tree with a hefty points difference in tact.

Brad Arthur's men have won the last seven meetings against Castleford, but can Ryan Carr's outfit step up on home soil?
