Warrington and Wigan announce landmark Super League clash in Dublin in April 2027

Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors will make history next year when they contest the first-ever Super League fixture to be played in Ireland.

The two fierce rivals will meet at the newly redeveloped Laya Arena in Dublin on Saturday 24 April 2027 (K.O. 5.30pm), taking one of Rugby League's biggest fixtures to the Irish capital for a landmark occasion.

The fixture continues Super League's recent run of blockbuster overseas showcases and follows Warrington and Wigan's historic meeting in Las Vegas in 2025.

Laya Arena, in the heart of Dublin, has undergone a €52 million transformation and officially reopens today (5 August) with the prestigious Dublin Horse Show. It is also the home ground of Leinster Rugby Union. With a capacity exceeding 20,000, the newly redeveloped stadium is among Europe's most modern sporting venues, delivering state-of-the-art facilities, outstanding hospitality and an electric atmosphere that makes it the perfect arena.

The event offers supporters the opportunity to experience Super League in one of Europe's most exciting destinations. With its rich sporting heritage, lively culture and renowned hospitality, Dublin has become an increasingly popular choice for UK visitors. It provides a vibrant setting for what promises to be one of the standout weekends of the 2027 season.

While it will be the first Super League game held in Ireland, Warrington and Wigan previously met in Dublin at Shelbourne Park in 1934, while Wigan returned to the city in 1995 to face Leeds in a Charity Shield fixture.

Tickets will first be available to Warrington Wolves members from 11am on Monday 10 August, with Wolves members receiving an exclusive £5 discount.

A wide range of hospitality packages will also go on sale from Monday 10 August.

Supporters who are not members can pre-register their interest now to receive access to an exclusive 24-hour priority sales window from 11am on Wednesday 12 August, ahead of general sale opening at 11am on Thursday 13 August.
