With just five rounds of the regular season remaining, every match is beginning to carry extra significance as the race for the League Leaders' Shield, top six and home advantage in the Play-Offs intensifies.

Leeds Rhinos have already secured their place in the top six, while six other clubs continue battling to confirm their place in the Play-Offs. However, there are only five spots up for grabs!

Thursday 13 August

Leeds Rhinos v Leigh Leopards (20:00) - live on Sky Sports

It’s a triple-header on Thursday Night, with Leeds Rhinos and Leigh Leopards headlining the action. Will this blockbuster encounter live up to its billing?

Leeds became the first club to officially qualify for the 2026 Play-Offs last Friday, following their dramatic victory over Wakefield Trinity. Brad Arthur's side remain two points clear at the top of the table in the race for the League Leaders' Shield.

The Rhinos have been one of the competition's form teams throughout the campaign, but they face a Leopards side that knows a positive result could significantly strengthen their grip on sixth place or even higher.

The Leopards have shown their resilience in recent weeks and remain very much in the hunt for a top four finish if results elsewhere go their way.

With Leeds chasing silverware and Leigh fighting to cement a Play-Off place, this promises to be one of the most important matches of the round.

The sides last met in Round 1 with the Leopards producing a 26-14 victory at the Leigh Sports Village. This time, however, they will clash at AMT Headingley, where the Rhinos remain unbeaten in the 2026 campaign so far.

Ryan Hall could return for the Rhinos in Round 23...

Hull KR v Catalans Dragons (20:00) - live on Sky Sports+ and SuperLeague+

Hull KR will start the weekend knowing that a victory could lift them into the top four if Warrington Wolves were to endure defeat in Round 23.

The champions are searching for a fourth straight win with their mission to retain the title and reach Old Trafford for a third successive season already well underway.

Catalans, meanwhile, will arrive in East Yorkshire desperate for a change in fortunes.

The Dragons have found victories hard to come by in recent weeks, and John Cartwright will be hoping to see a reaction from his side as they look to finish their 2026 campaign strongly.

Sewell Group Craven Park has been a fortress on many occasions this season and the Robins will be determined to take full advantage.

That said, the Dragons did come out on top in the reverse fixture back in March (26-20).

Oliver Gildart, Sauaso Sue and Jordan Dezaria all drop out for the Robins in Round 23 through injury.

It's a return for Tevita Pangai Junior after serving his six-match suspension, with Louix Gorman and Frankie Dearlove also coming into the extended squad.

Fo Catalans, Guillermo Aispuro-Bichet is back in the team, as is Chris Satae and Lenny Marc. They replace Franck Maria, Edenn Rogers-Smith and Hugo Cellier.

Warrington Wolves v York Knights (20:00) - live on Sky Sports+ and SuperLeague+

Fourth-placed Warrington Wolves host York Knights knowing the importance of protecting their position inside the top four.

Sam Burgess' side remain within touching distance of the clubs above them and still have outside hopes of finishing in the top two.

Warrington have won their last 11 home meetings with the York club, although were pushed all the way by the Knights a Round 4 points fest, with Wire managing to come away on the right side of a 30-38 scoreline.

Mark Applegarth’s men have continued to earn plenty of admirers in their debut Super League campaign, having pushed several of the competition's leading clubs close in recent weeks.

And they will no doubt travel to the Halliwell Jones Stadium believing they can cause problems once again.

A Wolves win keeps them in contorl of fourth spot and looking up. Anything else could open the door for the Robins, ahead of their clash with them next Tuesday...

There's a huge boost in Warrington's team news, as captain George Williams is available again after four months on the sidelines with a neck injury. Arron Lindop and Sam Stone have also been named in Sam Burgess' 21-man squad. 

Joe Philbin is sidelined with a minor foot injury.

Friday 14 August

Hull FC v Castleford Tigers (20:00) - live on Sky Sports+ and SuperLeague+

Friday night's fixture sees Hull FC welcome Castleford Tigers to the MKM Stadium.

The Black & Whites boosted their confidence with a valuable win over St Helens in Round 22 and will be aiming to carry that momentum into another home fixture.

Castleford, meanwhile, will be desperate for a response after suffering a heavy defeat at the hands of Hull KR last time out. The Tigers know they can turn anyone over on their day, but will Cas be able to do this in Round 23?

With pride to play for, expect a fiercely contested encounter.

Saturday 15 August

Wakefield Trinity v St Helens (17:30) - live on Sky Sports

Tensions will be high when the stand-out fixture of Round 23 takes place at the DIY Kitchens Stadium on Saturday.

For Wakefield Trinity, the rewards are substantial. Victory against the Saints on Saturday will secure their Play-Off berth, which would be the fifth time Trinity have ever reached the Play-Off stage in their Super League history.

As well as this, Trinity still harbour genuine ambitions of finishing in the top two and are currently chasing down Leeds Rhinos and Wigan Warriors.

For St Helens, Saturday’s tie is a must-win.

The Red V enter the weekend in seventh, outside the Play-Off places, with their sights firmly set on avoiding an unwanted Super League first - missing out on the Play-Offs.

They have never not reached the Play-Offs in the entire 30 years of Super League.

Another defeat, however, would see this challenge becoming increasingly difficult with time running out.

Wakefield pushed Leeds all the way last week and have enjoyed an outstanding campaign. Saints, however, know their season may depend on producing a statement performance on the road in Round 23.

It’s St Helens who have an excellent winning record against Wakefield, including the last eight away meetings.

Will Trinity be the ones celebrating at full-time? Or will Saints keep their Play-Off hopes and dreams alive for another round?

Bradford Bulls v Wigan Warriors (18:30) - live on Sky Sports+ and SuperLeague+

Can anyone stop a red hot Wigan Warriors in their tracks?

Matt Peet's side remain firmly in the hunt for the League Leaders' Shield after producing a tenth straight win in the previous round.

A victory at Bartercard Odsal on Saturday would certainly keep the pressure on leaders Leeds heading into the final weeks.

Their opponents in Round 23 are Bradford Bulls, who continue to compete despite their league position and will be determined to make life difficult for one of the competition's heavyweights in front of their home supporters.

The Warriors know there is little margin for error if they are to catch the Rhinos in these coming weeks.

Toulouse Olympique v Huddersfield Giants (21:00 UK) - live on Sky Sports+ and SuperLeague+

Round 23 concludes in the south of France as Toulouse host Huddersfield.

The Giants are chasing a fourth consecutive victory as they look to climb off the foot of the table before the regular season comes to an end.

Toulouse will be no easy opponent on French soil, however.
