Fans to vote for 2026 Dream Team in new process

RL Commercial has today announced an exciting new voting process for the 2026 Super League Dream Team, giving a greater range of voices the opportunity to shape the selection of the competition’s Team of the Season.

For the first time, fans will have a direct influence on the Super League Dream Team, with supporters able to select their own line-up from nominated players in each position. Every team submitted will count towards the final selection, giving fans a genuine say in who makes the 2026 Dream Team. Select your team here!

The Man of Steel panel will account for 50 per cent of the overall weighting, with each panel member selecting their own Dream Team based on the performances they have witnessed throughout the season.

A specially selected cohort of Rugby League journalists will then contribute a further 30 per cent, with each journalist selecting their own Dream Team.

The remaining 20 per cent will come from the fans, with supporters able to select their own Dream Team through the Dream Team Selector on the Super League website.

The new process ensures that the final Dream Team reflects a combination of expert knowledge, independent media opinion and the views of the supporters who follow the competition week in, week out.

The online fan vote will open on Friday 28 August and close on Sunday 6 September, giving supporters the opportunity to select their favourite players in each position from a nominated group of candidates.

Fans are encouraged to share their selected Dream Team across their social media channels, helping to build the debate around which players deserve recognition for their performances throughout the season.

The 2026 Super League Dream Team will be announced on Sunday 13 September, before the selected players come together for a special Dream Team event on Monday 14 September.

The event will also help officially launch the Super League Play-Offs, bringing together the stars of the regular season ahead of the most exciting stage of the campaign.

How the 2026 Dream Team will be selected

50% – Man of Steel panel

Each member of the Steve Prescott MBE Man of Steel voting panel will select their own Dream Team.

30% – Rugby League journalists

A selected group of Rugby League journalists will each choose their own Dream Team.

20% – Super League supporters

Fans will select their Dream Team using the new online Dream Team Selector, choosing from nominated players in each position.
