London Broncos 42-34 Wakefield Trinity

Jordan Abdull crossed for four first-half tries as London Broncos started fast and then had to hold on for a thrilling 42-34 Betfred Super League win over Wakefield Trinity.

Super League’s bottom side kicked off their season in February with a surprise win over Trinity but it has been slim pickings since then.

But Abdull went over four times in the space of half an hour as they opened up a 42-6 lead after the break.

Trinity came storming back in the final quarter as Mason Caton-Brown and David Fifita both claimed braces, but the Broncos held on for a 42-34 win – just their fourth victory in the league so far.

Rhys Williams and Kieran Dixon also scored a pair of tries each for the Broncos, with Dixon adding five goals for a personal haul of 14 points.

Wakefield's other tries came from Kyle Wood and Ryan Hampshire, who also kicked five goals.
