Escare joins Trinity
Wakefield Trinity have confirmed the loan signing of Morgan Escaré from Wigan Warriors until the end of the season.
The French international will strengthen Trinity's backline for 2019 run-in.
Although Escaré is a natural full-back, he can operate on the wing and at half-back.
The 27-year-old has plenty of experience in Super League, racking up over 130 appearances whilst at Catalans Dragons and Wigan Warriors.
Escaré has found opportunities at Wigan hard to come by in 2019 but has a chance to showcase his talent in Trinity’s remaining games.
Escaré said: “I’m looking forward to getting some game time and helping Wakefield in the last five games.
“I’ve not played much this season at Wigan and I feel fresh and ready to go for Trinity.
“Hopefully I get the chance this week to run out in front of the Trinity fans and give my all for the team.”
Chris Chester is pleased to have a player of such quality on board for the rest of the season:
“It gives us a big boost as we head into the last five weeks,” admits Chester.
“Morgan will add plenty of competition across the backline and inject some energy and pace into the squad.”
