Graham set for Saints return

St Helens have confirmed they have reached an agreement which would see James Graham return to the club for the remainder of the 2020 season, subject to formal paperwork being completed.

Graham made 224 appearances, scoring 53 tries in his first stint with the club between 2003-2011.

At the end of the 2011 season Graham moved to the NRL where he spent six seasons with Canterbury Bulldogs, making 135 first grade appearances, before moving to St George Illawarra Dragons at the start of the 2018 season where he want on to make a further 51 NRL appearances.

Speculation had been mounting in the Australian media over the past few weeks concerning Graham's future at the Dragons. This led to the Dragons management confirming that they had allowed Graham the opportunity to speak with teams regarding a return to the UK.

St Helens confirmed via club statement that "Given the recent media speculation and interviews conducted in Australia, St.Helens R.F.C. can confirm it has reached an agreement with James Graham to return to his boyhood Club for the remainder of the 2020 Betfred Super League season.

The Club hopes to have Graham in the squad in time for the resumption of the 2020 season, however this move is subject to formal paperwork being completed."
