Mourgue signs new Dragons deal

Catalans Dragons halfback Arthur Mourgue has today signed a three-year contract with the club.

The France International has put pen to paper on a contract extension that will secure his future at the Gilbert Brutus Stadium until the end of the 2023 season.

Mourgue, 21, joined the club from Avignon in 2016 to play for the Dragons U19’s. He signed his first full-time contract in 2017 and made his Super League debut in 2018. In his seven appearances for the Dragons so far, Mourgue has scored two tries and has featured at fullback and hooker.

Arthur Mourgue said: "I’m really happy to sign a new contract with the Catalans Dragons. It’s a great opportunity for me. I love playing for this team and its fans. I can’t wait to start the new season.

Steve McNamara, Catalans Dragons Head Coach added: "Arthur has developed extremely well over the last 12 months due to his attitude and professional approach. His work ethic is outstanding. He is an exciting player who we feel will now go onto to establish himself both at the Dragons and in the Super League competition.
