Round 7 Preview

Thursday night saw current Champions Wigan Warriors return to winning ways when they travelled to face Leigh Leopards in the Battle of the Borough.

And with five more matches still left to play in Round 7, here is a breakdown of the remaining and upcoming Betfred Super League action...

...and don't forget that fans can watch ALL six games LIVE!

Friday 5 April

Leeds Rhinos v Warrington Wolves (20.00) - Sky Sports

Leeds are back in action at Headingley Stadium on Friday night, as they welcome Warrington Wolves to West Yorkshire.

It was derby delight for the Rhinos, who beat their neighbours Castleford in last week's Rivals Round. The Wolves, on the other hand, were unable to comeback against Catalans and will be hoping to bounce back immediately.

Both sides have won four out of six matches, so expect an enticing encounter as they will both look to climb the league ladder.

The Rhinos have won four of their last five Super League matches against Warrington Wolves, but it is Warrington who have won their last two away games in the competition.

Castleford Tigers v Salford Red Devils (20.00) - Sky Sports and SuperLeague+

Round 7 will see Castleford Tigers take on a strong Salford Red Devils at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle.

Craig Lingard's men are still without a league win heading into week seven, whereas Salford sit in seventh place on points difference and have won four out of six matches.

Castleford have made just one change to their 21-man squad with Albert Vete dropping out for Sylvester Namo.

The Red Devils will certainly have momentum following their victory in Rivals Round, whereas the Tigers will have to quickly dust themselves down if they are to register their first win.

Salford haven't tasted defeat at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle since 2019, having won their last four visits there.

Castleford will also have to keep an eye out for Marc Sneyd - he has scored points in his last ten games against the Tigers, dating back to 2020.

Can Castleford oversee a strong Salford on their home patch? Or will the Red Devils continue their fine form?

Hull KR v London Broncos (20.00) - Sky Sports and SuperLeague+

Hull KR have home advantage once more in Round 7, having enjoyed a derby demolition over Hull FC in Rivals Round.

The Robins will entertain a winless London Broncos, as they look to secure back-to-back home wins.

The Broncos have won each of their last two Super League matches against Hull KR, but will they make it three on Friday night?

Saturday 6 April

Hull FC v Huddersfield Giants (15.00) - Sky Sports and SuperLeague+

Huddersfield Giants will make a trip down the M62 on Saturday afternoon, as they face Tony Smith's Hull FC at the MKM Stadium.

The sides have already met once this year in the Sixth Round of the Betfred Challenge Cup, where Hull were heavily beaten - with Giants' Adam Swift scoring four tries against his former club.

The Black and Whites endured an extremely disappointing loss in the Hull derby on Good Friday and have only managed to record one win out of six.

They should look to bounce back on home soil, as they face Ian Watson's Giants, who returned to winning ways last Sunday with a win over London Broncos.

Huddersfield have won each of their last two Super League matches against Hull FC - can the hosts improve on their recent performances or will the visitors go back-to-back?

Catalans Dragons v St Helens (20.05 UK time) - BBC Three, Sky Sports and SuperLeague+

Saturday night will see a fiery clash unfold between two teams who emerged victorious in Rivals Round, as well as two teams aiming to challenge at the top.

The Dragons will play hosts to St Helens in Perpignan - a place they remain unbeaten in 2024.

With Stade Gilbert Brutus turned into a fortress, it will be a tough test for Paul Wellens' Saints - although they will be boosted by their emphatic win over Wigan Warriors in the previous round.

A victory for either side would see them go top of the Betfred Super League table for at least one week, so you won't want to miss this one!

Catalans beat St Helens three times last year, but with both sides having big ambitions in 2024, who will come out on top in this highly-anticipated clash?

The Dragons are unbeaten at home in 2024.
