CATALANS DRAGONS 0-46 SALFORD RED DEVILS

Salford Red Devils climbed up to fourth place in the Betfred Super League table after a convincing 46-0 win at Catalans Dragons.

Joey Lussick burrowed his way over early on and Ken Sio added a pair of goals before George Griffin went in from close range two minutes before the break and a Jake Bibby score sent the Red Devils into the interval 18-0 ahead.

Salford picked up where they left off after the break as Bibby helped himself to a second try and Griffin went in under the posts to complete a brace of his own.

Jackson Hastings was the next to breach the Dragons' defence as he took a return pass from Bibby to cross.

Niall Evalds finished off a flowing move with Sio wrapping up the scoring with a try of his own - Salford's eighth - to add to seven goals for a personal haul of 18 points.

Salford Red Devils head coach Ian Watson said: "It’s no surprise to me that we’ve won, I believe that these players can go out and win every game.

"We’ve got a good group and they’ve got to grow and mature together and learn how to win the bigger games. We had the same mentality today that we had against St Helens and we were better today than we were against St Helens so it shows that we can beat teams by doing things right.??

Catalans Dragons head coach Steve McNamara said: "That is an embarrassing defeat, there are no two ways around that. To get beat by that scoreline at home on the back of a great win last week, we just had nothing in us tonight.??
