Fantasy League debrief

Here's the latest in Super League's Fantasy League!

Top performers

Salford Red Devils produced a huge away performance to register their third win of the season and a big part of that was Justin Sangare. The prop crossed for a try either side of half-time and made 127 metres from 22 carries, as well as 32 tackles.

Full of desire and determination, Sangare racked up an impressive 103 Fantasy points.

Will he be able to repeat the performance when the Dragons come to town on Thursday evening?

Matty Russell returned from injury in style scoring a brace, including the opening try of the contest which set Trinity off on a dominant victory over the Giants. This week saw him earn 87 Fantasy points.

Rolling back the years, he made 192 metres which mainly came from three clean breaks. With trips to the Tigers and Red Devils remaining this season, could Russell be a smart addition to add to your side in The Final Charge to the Play-Offs?

In third place this week, is Leigh's Lachlan Lam. Similar to the top two, Lam pulled the strings in a Player of the Match performance on Thursday Night as the Leopards put the Tigers to the sword.

The Leigh playmaker had his fingerprints all over the contest, scoring a try, assisting three others and kicking a 40/20 which led to a try for Josh Charnley in the resulting set.

With Warrington Wolves to play in Rivals Round Returns, will Lam continue to rack up his assists tally?

Fantasy flops

Kelelpi Tanginoa, a second rower for the Robins has seen his impact and minutes reduced in 2025.

From a key threat for Willie Peters’ side, Tanginoa has not had exactly the same effect in 2024. The Robin made single figures with just 8 points scored, mainly from making 31 metres.

Another expensive prospect is Nick Cotric, who has made this feature a few times throughout the season. It’s understanable for a winger to score lowly when his side has been comfortably beaten, however - and it's fair to say Catalans haven't had a good season.

Cotric made 59 metres from 13 carries and just 14 Fantasy points, which isn’t something you want if you’ve got him in your side at £150k.

2025 hasn’t been the year Tom Burgess hoped for on his return to Super League. The prop has not had the impact many expected and his Fantasy score this weekend reflects that. With just 17 points claimed by the £140k Fantasy player, Burgess made just 3 carries and 24 metres.

Could it be worth making some late changes to your teams as we spearhead towards the Play-Offs?
