London Broncos shock Leeds Rhinos

London Broncos staged a remarkable late comeback to snatch a stunning 18-16 Betfred Super League win over Leeds Rhinos at Headingley.
The Rhinos appeared to have a much-needed victory wrapped up with four minutes to play but tries from Matty Fozard and Will Lovell left Leeds shell-shocked at full-time.
A sixth defeat of the year did not appear even a remote possibility in the closing stages after Richie Myler, Trent Merrin and Tom Briscoe had scored to leave the Rhinos in full control after a dismal first half, which ended 8-0 to London following a try from former Leeds forward Jay Pitts.
But the promoted Broncos have been no pushovers in the early stages of the season and they claimed a third scalp in memorable fashion.
Broncos coach Danny Ward said: "Leeds came out steaming and were all over us that second half. I thought the boys looked a little bit shot and deflated at times. I feared the worst but credit to the boys for finding something and sticking together.
“Showing that resilience to come back was outstanding. I’m proud of the boys tonight. It’s great for the confidence of the lads to beat Wigan and come to Leeds and get a win. They are capable of very good things, this team.??
Leeds coach David Furner said: "We did a really good job at half-time of refocusing the group and fought really well. We had the game in control but that last six minutes hurt the group.
“It’s not good enough. We’ve had opportunities in these first seven games and not taking them sort of knocks the confidence out of the team.
“We’re going to have to pick ourselves up. It’s a long season. There’s going to be no white flag."
