Warrington Wolves were made to work hard against the Dragons in Thursday’s heatwave.

Albert Hopoate scored a crucial try in the Wolves’ hard-fought victory. The lightning centre also made a sensational 16 tackle busts, causing all sorts of problems for the Catalans defenders.

Rhinos duo Jake Connor and Chris Hankinson shone in the Rhinos’ huge win over the champions, in their annual MND Awareness Game.

Connor, who fittingly wears the number 7 shirt, masterfully pulled the strings in the halves with three try assists and managed to cross for his first try of the 2026 season. It’s only taken him 16 rounds!

Hankinson, who has been in fine form since signing for Leeds, contributed one try and one assist against the Robins.

York Knights were ecstatic on Friday Night, as their ended their losing run away at Castleford. The performances of Nikau Williams and Oli Field is what earns them a spot in Team of the Week.

Williams produced the match-winning offload to David Nofoaluma, whilst Oli Field’s performance also helped inspired the Knights to victory (1 try and 35 tackles).

On Saturday, Ollie Partington gave a strong showing as the Warriors overcame Hull FC on the road, with 104 metres and 29 tackles.

Then, Super League’s all-time top try scorer Josh Charnley further added to his tally on Saturday, scoring four tries.

Are we seeing the best of Charnley now as he continues to compete for the accolade with Ryan Hall?

Jack Welsby enjoyed his run out at Bartercard Odsal with two tries, one try assist, 209 metres and six tackle busts.

As always, Alex Walmsley’s efforts were exceptional too - 24 tackles, 169 metres and six tackle busts came from the Saints prop on Saturday.

Finally, a trio of Trinity players feature after they survived a late scare from the Giants.

Josh Rourke proved to be the man of the hour, intercepting Olly Russell’s pass and racing away for the match-winning score with just seconds on the clock.

Prior to this, Rourke crossed for another try, assisted one, and made 115 metres.

Playmaker Jake Trueman had his name written on three try assists, whilst captain Mike McMeeken saw his side through the other side, even crossing for a try of his own.
