4 May 2019
#MagicWeekend
With just three weeks until the Dacia Magic Weekend heads to Anfield for Round 16 of the Betfred Super League, we’ve compiled an overview of travel information for fans coming to Liverpool.
With plenty to see and do at Anfield, fans are encouraged to enjoy the atmosphere in the Fan Zone, hosted by Rugby AM as well as watch six great games on the iconic Anfield pitch.
Parking
Paid matchday car and coach parking is available on Stanley Park on a first come, first served basis.
Travel
Fans driving to Anfield are advised that the Rock ‘n’ Roll Liverpool Marathonis taking place in the city across the same weekend as Dacia Magic Weekend. As such with an event of this type, some road closures and diversions will be in place over the two days.
Saturday 25 May
There are activities related to the Marathon happening by Albert Docks, there will be minor lane closures, however this is expected to be cleared by 10:30am.
All major road routes into the Stadium from the M62 should remain unaffected.
Sunday 26 May
The route to the Anfield area from M62 via Queens Driveand Uttings Avenueis not affected by the marathon so travel for most visitors will be unaffected.
Runners are expected to be clear of the Anfield area by around 12:00 noon so impact around the stadium will be limited to those arriving for the Salford Red Devils v Hull KR match.
Road closures to the centre and south of the city will continue until later in the day.
For those travelling from the city centre, routes via Lime Street and Islington are also unaffected.
Please visit here for further details of road closures:
