Hull KR 12-18 Huddersfield Giants

Huddersfield Giants secured two vital points against relegation rivals Hull KR at the KCOM Craven Park.

The first-half was a tense encounter with both defences not giving up much, but it was a Josh Drinkwater kick that found Kane Linnett for the opening try of the game to give KR the lead.

In similar fashion to KR's try, Huddersfield equalised through Matty English latching on to a kick in the in-goal as the side's went into the first-half six points apiece.

The second-half just as tense as the first, this time, Huddersfield opened the scoring through Alex Mellor, the conversion was missed, but Darnell McIntosh converted two penalties before the 60th minute to give Giants a 14-6 lead.

Craig Hall looked to have put pressure on Giants with a well-worked try through the backs, but Giants secured victory through a Jermaine McGillvary try.
