Top performers
Hat-trick hero and Hull KR skipper, Shaun Kenny-Dowall (140K) was the leading Fantasy point scorer in Round 1 totalling 82 points, whilst Wolves prop forward James Harrison (125K) crossed the line once and ran 133 metres for 80 points.
Bureta Faraimo (125K) was busy in defeat recording 77 points, making a huge impact for the Tigers in their narrow loss to Hull FC. The Tigers winger scored a brace and had no demerits to his fantasy score. Red Devils hooker Andy Ackers (165K) led the way for the Red Devils Fantasy point scores with 79 points whilst teammate Kallum Watkins (170K) was close behind on 74.

Fantasy Flops
It was a disastrous start to the Betfred Super League for Wigan Warriors duo Jai Field & Bevan French. The fullback and winger both only managed 24 points in their Round 1 stint with Field being the second lowest scoring fullback of the round. They will surely look to bounce back in Round 2 against a Wakefield side that conceded 34 points in Round 1.
Warrington Second Rower Matty Nicholson scored just 14 points in 26 minutes before leaving the field with a shoulder injury, which will likely see him on the sidelines for the coming weeks.
Looking ahead
Fantasy owners will have four full transfers when Super League returns for Round 2. St Helens may put out a weekend side when they travel to the Jungle after their triumphant World Club Challenge Victory over in Australia. Tommy Makinson, St Helens top fantasy scorer in 2022 is ruled out for Round 2 after failing a HIA during his match in Australia.

Fantasy favourite Luke Yates will return to action after the Huddersfield Giants had their Round 1 Fixture postponed, he may be a safe captains choice after averaging 56 fantasy points per game in 2022. Theo Fages looks to return to Ian Watsons starting line-up after suffering a disrupted last season. The French international still managed over 50 points when available, and could be a gun for fantasy teams when fully fit.
