Julian Bousquet extends stay with Dragons

Catalans Dragons have announced that veteran forward Julian Bousquet has agreed a new one-year deal with the club.

The 34-year-old French prop-forward will feature for the Dragons - under new Head Coach Joel Tomkins - throughout the 2026 Betfred Super League season.

Bousquet has racked up over 300 Super League appearances for the Dragons, and is the club’s second highest appearance maker of all-time sitting only behind Rémi Casty. He has lifted the Challenge Cup and League Leaders’ Shield with the Dragons as well as twice featuring at Old Trafford in the Betfred Super League Grand Final.

On the contract, Bousquet said: "I’m very proud to extend my time with Catalans Dragons for another year. A big thank you to the club’s management and coaching staff for their trust."

Head Coach Joel Tomkins added: "Julian is an integral part of the Dragons squad and club as a whole. It’s fantastic news that he has decided to play on for another season. I believe he is still in his prime and his presence in the squad will be huge for us next year."

Catalans have announced the signings of Toby Sexton, Solomona Faataape and Harvey Wilson in recent weeks for the 2026 season as well as confirming they will play Wigan Warriors in Paris as part of next year’s Betfred Super League competition.
