The regular season of the 2025 Betfred Super League has reached its conclusion! Here’s what happened on Thursday and ‘Final Charge’ Friday…
On Thursday, Hull KR finally lifted the League Leaders’ Shield after defeating Warrington Wolves, 28-20.
Celebrations were in full swing at Sewell Group Craven Park as the final hooter sounded, but the Robins were made to work extremely hard for their trophy lift – with Sam Burgess’ side pushing them all the way.
It was a must-win game for Hull KR, who built a 10-point lead at half-time through Tyrone May and Noah Booth’s double, where they responded to Warrington’s early score from Josh Thewlis.
A youthful Wolves outfit then went on to stun the home crowd as Sam Stone, Adam Holroyd and Thewlis' second try put the visitors back in front.
But a moment of individual brilliance from Arthur Mourgue set the Robins on course for victory – and another try from May would see off the Wolves, as he side made sure they would finish ta the top of the league for the first time since the 1980s.

Hull FC’s hearts were broken on Thursday when Catalans Dragons brought their top six hopes to an end. The Black & Whites had to win to stand any chance of finishing sixth, but their defeat to the Dragons handed Wakefield Trinity the final Play-Off place.
Tries from Nick Cotric, Tommy Makinson, who moved up to the fourth in the all-time Super League try scorers, and Reimis Smith had the visitors 14-12 up at half-time, and a further two tries from Guillermo Aispuro-Bichet in the second half was enough to put the game to bed for the French side.
Harvey Barron's two first-half tries had kept Hull in touch, and despite a quickfire second half double from Super League’s top try scorer Lewis Martin, it was too little too late (22-26).
Both teams will take promising signs from their performances for next year.

A battle unfolded at The Brick Community Stadium between Wigan Warriors and Leeds Rhinos.
Both teams were looking to build momentum heading into the Play-Offs, but it was the Warriors who produced yet another dominant display.
Bevan French inspired the champions to victory with two tries and one try assist as the Warriors go into their Semi-Final on a high (22-6).

Leeds’ loss also ensured that Leigh Leopards would finish third place in the table, which is their highest ever finish in the Super League era.
They sealed this by beating Huddersfield Giants on home soil, 30-16, and will host Wakefield next Friday in their Play-Off Eliminator.

St Helens edged Castleford Tigers at the Totally Wicked Stadium in Round 27.
Kyle Feldt helped the Red V with a 14-point haul, although there will be concerns for the winger who left the field with an injury shortly after.
A hat-trick from the Tigers' Will Tate wasn’t enough to claim a win, but nevertheless, they end their season on a positive note (26-24).
Saints will travel to face Leeds in their Play-Off Eliminator next Saturday.

Then, Wakefield Trinity enter the Play-Offs with back-to-back wins under their belt, after they posted 50+ points on Salford Red Devils.
Cam Scott scored a hat-trick, while Tom Johnstone became a Trinity Centurion scoring his 100th try for the club (16-52).
