Warrington Wolves claimed their ninth win in a row over St Helens on Thursday Night, with young gun Ewan Irwin leading the way and artfully pulling the strings.
Irwin’s late try also sealed the win for the Wolves, who moved joint top with Leeds Rhinos as a result.
His teammate Ben Currie’s efforts never waver either - the veteran loose forward came up with 40 tackles against the Red V.
Harry Newman produced a stellar performance in the south of France on Friday. Two tries, one try assist, five tackle busts and 140 metres in just 13 carries helped contribute to the Rhinos’ victory and see them stay top in the league standings.
The Warriors were unmatched in Round 14 and ran riot in West Yorkshire against Wakefield. Arguably, there are players unlucky to miss out in this week’s addition of Team of the Week, but there is still a trio of Cherry & Whites who feature.
Noah Hodkinson occupies one of the winger spots after his four try-scoring spree out on the left edge.
Meanwhile, Brad O’Neill and Junior Nsemba were two more stars of the show - together they made 54 tackles and caused Trinity all sorts of problems in both defence and attack.
The Robins added another home win to their tally in Round 14, and James Batchelor was at the heart of the action with one try, 27 tackles and 87 metres.
It was an enjoyable day for their neighbours on Saturday, as the Black & Whites returned to winning ways in style.
The FC full-back Logan Moy impressed with one try, one try assist, four tackles busts and 211 metres.
Likewise, Ethan O’Neill earned praises for his performance - two tries, six tackle busts and 124 metres in 18 carries whilst on loan from Leeds.
Then, Herman Ese’ese was back to his best with 16 tackles, three tackle busts and 143 metres. Bottom of the table Huddersfield were unable to contain them.
Is Lewis Dodd playing his best rugby league to date? The Catalans playmaker produced four try assists against the Tigers on Saturday. How crucial will Dodd be as the Dragons continue to build towards the s?
Finally, the record-breaking Josh Charnley appears for the Leopards. Charnley became Super League’s new all-time try-scorer, following his heroic hat-trick at Bartercard Odsal on Sunday.
Charnley has now notched 272 tries, going one past Leeds Rhinos stalwart Ryan Hall.
Fellow Leigh man Joe Ofahengaue also made a monumental impact to his side's sixth win in seven matches - one try assist, 21 tackles, two tackle busts and 118 metres is a big reason that the Leopards find themselves just one place away from the Play-Offs...
