Fantasy League: Bargain Buys lead the way in Round 14

PLAY FANTASY LEAGUE HERE!

The Betfred Super League delivered once again in Round 14!

Where Fantasy League is concerned, one thing that stands out from this week's top five performers is the value on offer.

All five are priced at just £120k or less, with Noah Hodkinson's 99-point haul costing Fantasy players just £50k!

As we approach the second half of the season, it's becoming much easier to spot the players outperforming their price tags. And these may not be the big money stars or famous names you might have initially selected in Round 1.

Finding players like the ones below can make a huge difference as we head into the second half of the Fantasy season…

Here are the top five performers from the weekend…

Top performers

Noah Hodkinson (99 points)

Young Noah Hodkinson has burst onto the scene in 2026, whilst having an extremely attractive price tag. At just £50k, Hodkinson is one of the cheapest players in the entire Fantasy League, but it’s fair to say he’s been well and truly outperforming that label.

With Liam Marshall sidelined for the foreseeable future, Hodkinson looks set to keep his place in the Warriors’ first team, and he’s certainly been making the most of his opportunity.

He grabbed four tries on Friday Night against Wakefield and is starting to look like a real option on the edges for head coach Matt Peet as a red-hot Wigan continue to push up the Super League table.

Joe Mellor (85 points)

The Bulls captain and loose forward is a familiar Fantasy favourite, who has been featuring on the top performers list week after week.

Even with his side often on the losing end, he continues to deliver points and remain a reliable option for Fantasy players.

Mellor is just £110k. What are you waiting for?

Amir Bourouh (84 points)

Amir Bourouh has featured 13 times this season for Hull FC, making him nearly ever-present.

84 Fantasy points is a decent shift for the Black & Whites hooker in Round 14, especially at £100k.

Needing a cheaper option at hooker? Bourouh is someone to consider...

Adam Cook (78 points)

It’s taken Adam Cook a little while to find his feet, but he’s been at the heart of a Leigh Leopards side that’s won six of their last seven Super League matches.

In Round 14, Cook stood out with three try assists and seven goals, underlining just how influential he can be when he’s in form.

As Leigh push towards the Play-Offs, he could be a key figure in their run-in - and at just £120k, he’s starting to look like a very interesting Fantasy option as we head into the later stages of the season and the Final Charge.

Ewan Irwin (78 points)

18-year-old Ewan Irwin has really stepped up in absence of fellow Wolves half-back George Williams.

At the start of the season, almost everyone would have had England international Williams in their Fantasy side, and not Irwin - but with the injury, the youngster has come in and made the spot his own - and his name well and truly known.

He plays with real maturity for his age and produced the match-winning moment in Round 14 - all for just £80k.

With his place in Warrington’s line-up looking secure, he’s a strong option if you’re hoping to free up some funds and gain Fantasy points.

And with the Wolves currently sitting pretty in joint top, we can expect to see the very best of Irwin from now until the end of the year...
